Electromagnetic stabilization system [eMASS]

eMASS system reduces the vibration of steel strip in the plating process of hot dip galvanizing lines in a non-contact manner through use of electromagnets.
Application of eMASS system leads to less zinc required to be used in plating.

Features

The eMASS is installable on air knife units used to blow off any zinc attached to a steel strip in a zinc pot. The attraction of electromagnets suppresses any vibration of the steel strip and thus minimizes any variations in the quantity of zinc adhered for plating.
The electromagnets are placed in pairs facing each other with a steel strip between them, and each pair is controlled independently. This system can therefore be effective for correcting any warping in steel strips in the air knife unit.
