Conventional roughness measurements using a sensing pin required production lines to be stopped or samples collected for off-line gauge measurements made in a laboratory. The SORM 3plus has realized in-line measurements.
Utilization of this device allows the quality of steel plates to be improved and the timing of roller replacement more easily scheduled.
