Electromagnetic induction type high-precision sensor [EKI/EMI]
Electromagnetic induction type high-precision sensor [EKI/EMI]
The most proven maintenance-free system used in ironworks throughout the world that meets the request for zero downtime

The EKI/EMI sensor is a steel strip positioning sensor using EMG’s unique inductive (electromagnetic induction) method.
This sensor can be installed and used in any position on a pay-off reel, steering roll or tension reel (mechanical armless link).
Features
Both the single end detection type (EKI) and the both end detection type (EMI) have built-in movable sensors in the lower and upper sections of the aluminum frame in the electromagnetic induction sensor, respectively, as a transmitting/receiving unit, which accurately recognize edges of strips as they are conveyed.
